Customer FAQ
Yes, but extra care is needed in hot, dry weather. Summer is suitable for turfing and lawn repairs as long as the area is kept well-watered. Use a rootzone or topsoil base to help retain moisture and encourage healthy root establishment.
Absolutely. Compost is ideal for summer use—it provides a slow release of nutrients during the peak growing season. Apply around the base of plants or mix into soil to support healthy growth through warm, active periods.
Yes. Bark mulch is excellent for summer—when applied around plants, it helps retain soil moisture, reduce evaporation, and suppress weeds. It also helps regulate soil temperature, protecting roots during hot spells.
Topsoil is great for topping up beds, levelling lawn areas, or preparing ground for planting. In summer, apply in the cooler parts of the day, keep it lightly watered if left uncovered, and avoid disturbing established plant roots during hot periods.
One 750-litre bulk bag typically covers 10–12m² at a depth of 5–7.5cm. For lighter applications like lawn dressing or surface topping, it may cover a larger area. If you’re unsure, our team can help calculate exactly what you need based on your project.
