How Our Delivery Service Works

Ordering from Alsoils+ is easy. Whether you’re a home gardener or a trade customer, we make sure your delivery is smooth from start to finish.

1. Place Your Order

Order online 24/7 through our secure website or get in touch with our team. Once your order is confirmed, we’ll begin preparing it for delivery. While we can’t offer the ability to deliver for a specific time slot, we’ll give you a rough idea if you give us a call.

2. We Pack and Load Your Products

Your topsoil, compost, manure or mulch will be carefully packed into 750-litre bulk bags or prepared as a loose load. Loose loads are available to our customers based across a number of towns and cities along the South Coast of the UK.

Across Hampshire, our bulk bags are delivered by our 8-tonne HIAB crane-offload lorry (the height of the lorry including the crane is 12’6”/3.81m).

For delivery zones outside our local service areas, orders will be delivered on a pallet.

3. We Deliver in 2-5 Working Days

Deliveries typically take place within 2 to 5 working days from your order, but may vary depending on availability. Please note we only deliver Monday – Friday between 07:30am – 6pm.

Delivery Access Requirements

To ensure a smooth and successful delivery, please review the following access requirements:

Vehicle Types:

  • Loose Load – For our customers based in towns and cities across the South Coast, we provide a Loose load delivery service for our premium selection of topsoil.
  • Crane Lorry – Across Hampshire, deliveries are made using our 18-tonne HIAB crane lorry. Due to the vehicle height being 12’6” (3.81m), please be mindful of trees, low bridges or archways on route. Please also note that our delivery vehicles are unable to go on block paving.
  • Pallet Delivery – For delivery zones outside our local service areas, orders will be delivered on pallets by curtain-sided commercial lorries. Pallets are then unloaded using a tail lift and pallet truck and placed at the kerbside

Surface Requirements:

We can only offload onto firm, level, hard-standing areas such as concrete or tarmac. We cannot deliver onto gravel, grass, steep slopes, block paving or soft ground. Product placement is at the driver’s discretion.

  • Crane placement – Our drivers can lift bags over low fences, walls or hedges where safe access is available. Final placement is always at the driver’s discretion.
  • Pallet placement – Pallet deliveries are made to the kerbside only due to the type of vehicle used and the unloading method required.
  • Clear access needed: Ensure driveways and access points are free from parked cars, bins or obstructions. Depending on lorry size and access to your property, delivery may be kerbside only.
  • Allotment deliveries: Please note that we are no longer able to deliver to allotments.

If you’re unsure whether your property is suitable, just get in touch before placing your order – we’re always happy to help!
