Delivery

Can you deliver to my allotment?

We are no longer able to deliver to allotments.

When can I expect my delivery?

Deliveries will be between 2/5 working days from ordering – unfortunately we are unable to specify a specific time although if you call us, we can usually let you know what day and a rough time to expect your delivery, however due to the nature of our business this cannot be guaranteed and can change at short notice.

How do you deliver?

In most circumstances, we deliver our topsoils, mulch and other bulk bags kerbside or on a driveway as long as it has an adequate hard-standing area. Your delivery driver will not be able to offload onto gravel or loose areas, grass, steep slopes or soil areas. All deliveries are at the drivers discretion only.

What size vehicles do you use for deliveries?

We use an 18-tonne HIAB crane lorry for bag deliveries. The height of the lorry including the crane is 12’6” (3.81m).

Are you able to lift over walls, fences, or hedges?

Our bulk bag deliveries are typically made via a vehicle with a crane offload, which means we can lift over walls, fences and hedges. Providing we can get access this is purely down to the drivers discretion and cannot be guaranteed.

Is a crane delivery service available?

Our bulk bag deliveries are typically made via a vehicle with a crane offload.

What does kerbside delivery entail?

On the majority of occasions, our bulk bags will be delivered via crane offload and be delivered to the nearest flat, hard and accessible location to your property – this is known as a ‘kerbside delivery’.

Do you provide delivery services on weekends?

No, our deliveries take place Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 6pm

What if I live near a hill or low bridge?

The height of our delivery vehicles, including the crane, is 12’6″ (3.81m) so please bear this in mind when considering the delivery route for our vehicles. We can deliver on hills with a clear and stable surface.

Must I be present to receive my delivery?

It is recommended that either the person who placed the order or someone from the household is present when the delivery service is attempted. Please note that if delivery is attempted and deemed not possible due to a lack of information prior to the delivery date, Alsoils are not liable for re-delivery charges.

Can you deliver to my gravel driveway?

Your delivery driver will not be able to offload onto gravel or loose areas, grass, steep slopes or soil areas. Providing a hard standing area is available for the Vehicle to park and operate,  All deliveries are at the driver’s discretion and only if delivered via a Hiab offload.

Is it possible to deliver it to my back garden?

We will do our best to deliver to your back garden, but only where access allows. Factors that will be considered include gate width and height, ground stability and any potential obstructions (e.g. trees and power lines). Ultimately, delivery is subject to driver discretion.

Can I select a specific delivery date?

Our deliveries typically take place within 2 to 5 working days from your order. While we can’t commit to an exact delivery time, you can call us for an estimated day and time – please note that this timing is subject to change at short notice due to business needs.

Is it possible to track my order?

Currently, we are not able to track your order, although if you call us, we can usually let you know what day and a rough time to expect your delivery, however due to the nature of our business this cannot be guaranteed and can change at short notice.

Is your website secure for online orders?

Yes, our website is 100% secure to place orders from.

Can I pick up my order from your farm?

Only trade customers can collect orders from our farm. Please contact us in advance to arrange a collection time.

Does the online price cover VAT and delivery fees?

Prices listed on our website are exclusive of VAT, and delivery costs are calculated at checkout.

I’m experiencing issues ordering on the website; what should I do?

Will I receive a confirmation email after placing my order?

Yes, all placed orders will receive a confirmation email.

If I'm not satisfied with my order, can I return it?

Customers are required to return the goods, at their own expense, to Alsoils+ Ltd. Windmill Down Farm, Church Lane, Hambledon, Hampshire. PO7 4RT

If you do not return the Goods delivered to you or do not pay the costs of return delivery, We shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount repaid to you. Perishable goods are excluded from cancellation under The Consumer Protection (distance selling) regulations 2000 as amended by S1689, 2005.

Is payment on delivery an option?

No, payment must be made in advance of delivery. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards via our website or over the phone.

Is it possible to receive loose, tipped materials?

Yes. To order a loose load of topsoil, please get in touch with a member of our team.

Can I return empty bags?

No, our bulk bags are designed for single-use and cannot be returned.

Do any of your items contain peat?

No, we are committed to environmentally friendly practices and all of our products are 100% peat-free.

How much area will one bulk bag cover?
